MMA welder Paton ECO-200 230V, basic data
MMA welder PATON ECO-200 is intended for manual arc welding with the MMA process, using direct current. The ECO series is aimed at home users who need a workable machine with a rated current of 200A. That is enough to run any electrode from ⌀ 1.6 mm to ⌀ 5 mm, including hard to melt types. The duty cycle is not lower than 40%, which covers most jobs on a semi-industrial scale and serves well in household use.
Thanks to the solid, compact build, welders of the ECO series do well out in the field. The small size of the machine makes it very mobile, and the professional transport case supplied with it makes carrying the machine far easier.
Main advantages of the Paton ECO-200 MMA welder
- European manufacture of welding machines
- Stepless welding current adjustment
- Can be run on long extension cords and from a generator
- All electronic components are impregnated with two layers of high quality varnish, which keeps the product reliable over its whole service life
- Improved stability of the electric arc
- Functions: Hot-Start (hot ignition), Arc-Force (electric arc force) and Anti-Force (anti-stick)
- The machines have protection against voltage surges and a work stabilisation circuit, which allows correct operation across a supply voltage range from 170V to 260V
- Half the electrical power demand compared with traditional power sources
Function description:
The Hot-Start function (hot ignition) gives a clean start to the weld and a first-rate strike: at the moment the arc is struck, for a short time the working welding current rises from the set working level to the optimum level. In some cases (when working from a weak mains supply or from a generator) this level can be set by hand, if the machine has the matching switch, as in the “Professional” series. Lowering “Hot-Start” to cut the power drawn from a weak supply, or raising it on a strong supply, makes striking the arc much easier.
The Arc-Force function (electric arc force) is used to improve the stability of the short arc and to stop the electrode from “sticking”. When a drop of metal separates from the electrode, the current is automatically raised to a set level, if the machine has the matching switch, as in the “Professional” series. By lowering the “arc force” to cut the power drawn from a weak supply, or raising it on a strong supply, arc stability is improved even further.
The Anti-Stick function (anti-stick) lets the welder separate the electrode from the workpiece easily. If a short circuit occurs, after a brief pause the welding current is reduced automatically. Once the electrode has been separated from the part, the power source returns to normal operation by itself.
5 year manufacturer warranty for consumers and for companies
Top build quality backed by a 5 year DOOR-to-DOOR manufacturer warranty. Models of the ECO series have a compact design that uses a number of new solutions to keep the machines free of failures. The inverter block runs at frequencies in the kHz range, which cuts the size of the transformer in the power block and so markedly reduces the weight and the dimensions of the machine itself.
