Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The 23-3615 head wrap is made of high-quality flame-retardant cotton with a fabric weight of 305 g/m². Unlike standard cotton, this specialist fabric does not sustain burning and effectively protects the skin from contact with sparks. The dense weave forms a barrier against UV/IR radiation while allowing very good air circulation, which keeps thermal discomfort to a minimum. The integrity of the construction is ensured by seams sewn with 3-ply twisted KEVLAR® thread, which resists high temperature and tearing and stops the product from coming apart at the most critical moments.
Safety and Certification
The Fire Fox™ head wrap is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 1/A1+A2, by the recognised certification body TÜV. Class 1 is intended for protection during manual welding techniques that produce small amounts of spatter and low radiant heat. The A1+A2 marking confirms that the material passed the limited flame spread tests with both surface ignition (A1) and edge ignition (A2), which shows all-round protection.
