Materials and Construction
The comfort of Weldas caps comes from the combination of two key elements. The first is the patented SWEATSOpad® system. It is not an ordinary insert but a technically advanced band designed to actively absorb sweat and draw it away from the forehead. Its multi-layer absorbent structure acts as a barrier that stops sweat from running into your eyes, which removes the risk of momentary loss of vision and the need to interrupt your work. The second element is the cap itself, made of lightweight flame-retardant cotton. This material gives basic protection against small spatter and the UV radiation of the arc while allowing maximum air circulation, which is essential for lowering the temperature under a closed welding helmet.
Safety and Certification
Although the main purpose of the cap is comfort, it is made from materials with proven protective properties. The cotton is flame-retardant (FR - Flame Retardant), in line with the strict standards applied to Weldas protective clothing (e.g. EN ISO 11612).
