Materials and construction
The Arc Knight® hood owes its effectiveness to a well thought-out hybrid construction. The key zones most exposed to spatter and heat are made of hard-wearing black split cowhide. The rest is sewn from very thick yet soft flame-retardant cotton weighing as much as 520 gr/m². This combination gives maximum protection where it is needed, while keeping the hood light and breathable. Seams sewn entirely with KEVLAR® thread, which resists high temperature, burn-through and tearing, keep the whole construction intact even in extreme conditions.
Safety and certification
The Arc Knight® 23-3611 hood meets the strict requirements of EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2 / A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing and confirms its effectiveness in the most dangerous situations. Class 2 is intended for work that produces significant amounts of molten metal spatter and high radiant heat.
