Materials and construction
The 23-3612 doo-rag is made of specialist flame-retardant cotton weighing 305 g/m². The dense weave forms an effective barrier against sparks, while the natural breathability of the fabric prevents overheating and keeps you comfortable even during many hours of work. The 3-ply twisted KEVLAR® thread keeps the construction intact at elevated temperatures. Unlike standard threads, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn, so the seams do not come apart and protection is maintained at the most critical moments.
Safety and certification
As part of the Fire Fox™ line, the doo-rag is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 1 (A1+A2), with the certificate issued by the well-known certification body TÜV. Class 1 is intended for protection during manual welding techniques that generate small amounts of spatter and radiant heat.
