Materials and Construction
The 23-6680 hood is made of specialist flame-retardant cotton with a fabric weight of 305 g/m². This advanced material gives not only an effective barrier against sparks and small spatter but also very good breathability, which keeps thermal discomfort during work to a minimum. The integrity of the construction is ensured by seams sewn with 3-ply twisted KEVLAR® thread, which resists high temperature and tearing. The ergonomic cut combined with the hook-and-loop closure under the chin lets you fit the hood precisely to your head, keeping it stable and preventing it from shifting under the welding helmet.
Safety and Certification
The Fire Fox™ 23-6680 hood is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 1 (A1+A2), issued by the independent TÜV certification body. Class 1 is intended for protection during manual welding techniques that produce small amounts of spatter and radiant heat.
