Materials and Construction
The cap is made of a specialist flame-retardant cotton fabric weighing 305 g/m². This choice of material gives effective protection against sparks and small spatter as well as very good breathability and low weight, which is key to comfort during long hours of work. The construction is held together by 3-ply KEVLAR® thread, which resists high temperature and tearing. As a result, heat does not damage the seams, which directly extends the life of the product and improves user safety. The ergonomic cut fits the head closely and causes no discomfort when worn under a welding helmet.
Safety and Certification
The Fire Fox™ 23-5514 cap is certified to the European standard EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 1 (A1+A2), confirmed by the renowned certification body TÜV. Class 1 is intended for protection during manual welding techniques that produce little spatter and radiant heat.
