Materials and construction
The 44-2321 sleeves are made of carefully selected split cowhide with a guaranteed thickness of at least 1 mm. This material forms a solid barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and mechanical injury. A key design element is the seams, sewn with extremely strong 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Unlike standard thread, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn through, so the sleeves stay intact even in extreme conditions. Adjustable straps on the upper arms and elastic cuffs at the wrists give a precise fit, comfort and full safety: the sleeves do not slip down and hot sparks stay out.
Safety and certification
The Golden Brown™ 44-2321 sleeves are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1. Class 2 is the highest level of protection, intended for heavy welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MAG, FCAW) that produce a lot of spatter and heat.
