Materials and construction
The exceptional durability of these sleeves starts with top-quality grade A cowhide split leather with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This specially selected material comes from the Weldas in-house tannery and offers outstanding resistance to heat, molten metal spatter and abrasion while staying flexible. All seams are double-stitched with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR®, which does not melt or burn, so the garment does not come apart at critical moments. Elastic cuffs at the wrist and upper arm give a snug fit and keep sparks and spatter from getting under your clothing.
Safety and certification
The 44-7023 sleeves are certified to EN ISO 11611 Class 2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous manual work that produces a lot of spatter and intense heat (e.g. MMA or high-current MIG/MAG welding).
