Materials and construction
The effectiveness of the SWEATSOpad® sweatband lies in its distinctive two-layer construction. The outer layer, in direct contact with the skin, is made of special flame-retardant "fleecy" cotton. Its job is to absorb moisture from your forehead immediately while keeping you as comfortable as possible and minimising the risk of irritation. The inner layer is innovative foam with an air cushion system (Air-Cushioned Foam). Its porous structure acts as a reservoir for the absorbed sweat and stops it from soaking through and dripping. The construction also improves the fit of the helmet headgear and lets air circulate, which actively helps moisture evaporate. This combination of materials tackles the problem at its source instead of just masking it.
Safety and certification
Weldas treats safety as an absolute priority, and this shows in every detail of the SWEATSOpad® sweatband. The product is tested for flame retardancy, which is essential in a welding environment full of sparks and spatter. The materials have a balanced, skin-friendly pH, which removes the risk of allergic reactions even during long hours of work.
