The SWEATSOpad® line is the flagship innovation of the Weldas brand and sets a new standard for comfort and safety when you work in a welding helmet. This patented solution (trademark U.S. Reg. 3113365) was developed in response to one of the most troublesome problems welders face: heavy sweating. The SWEATSOpad® system is not an ordinary sweatband, it is a technically advanced tool that actively manages moisture and removes the risk of eye irritation and brief loss of vision caused by running sweat.

Materials and construction
The effectiveness of the SWEATSOpad® sweatband lies in its advanced two-layer construction.
The outer layer, in direct contact with the skin, is 100% "fleecy" cotton. Its key property is flame retardancy, a basic safety requirement in a welding environment. The material is also very soft and pleasant to the touch, which minimises the risk of chafing and irritation even during long hours of work.
The inner layer is innovative foam with an air cushion system (Air-Cushioned Foam). It does two jobs. First, it gives good cushioning and improves the fit of the headgear and the wearing comfort of the helmet. Second, its porous structure acts as a moisture reservoir and multiplies the absorption capacity of the whole sweatband. The system actively "absorbs sweat and releases its vapour", preventing soak-through and dripping while helping air to circulate and cool your head.

The product goes through rigorous flame retardancy tests, so it does not add a hazard on contact with a spark or spatter.
