Material and construction
The 44-8023Z cover is based on a specialist flame-retardant nylon. The material was chosen for its particular properties: it is highly resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage and still flexible, so it does not restrict how you handle the welding torch. Most importantly, its flame-retardant properties mean that on contact with sparks or spatter it does not keep burning but chars, which significantly reduces the risk of fire. The sturdy zip sewn along the full length shows attention to detail and ergonomics, and lets you fit or remove the cover very quickly without disconnecting the cables from the machine.
