POWER ARC 200, inverter welder for welding with covered electrodes on direct current (DC)
The POWER ARC 200 inverter welder is made mainly for welding with rutile and basic electrodes up to 5 mm on various grades of steel (low carbon, low alloy, stainless and so on) and on cast iron. LEDs on the front panel report the connection to the supply (green LED), a shutdown caused by overload (yellow LED) or the VRD function being active (green LED). The machine has electronically controlled stepless welding current setting over the range 18-205A and overload protection. The fan starts automatically only while the welder is overloaded.
On the front panel of the POWER ARC 200 inverter welder sits a switch for changing the welding method:

Extra functions of the POWER ARC 200 welder
HOT START (hot start): raises the welding current while the arc is struck to make the electrode fire more easily
, ARC FORCE (arc dynamics): shortens the arc while the welding current rises, which improves the transfer of the molten drop from the electrode to the workpiece and keeps the arc from going out when the electrode touches the workpiece
, ANTI STICK: limits the welding current so that the electrode does not stick to the workpiece
The inverter welder for welding with covered electrodes on direct current (DC) can also weld with the TIG method once a torch with a gas valve is connected. The arc is struck by touch, with the tungsten electrode brought against the workpiece and then lifted (TIG Lift). The MMA/TIG LIFT switch changes the characteristic used while the TIG arc is struck, which makes striking easier, extends the life of the tungsten electrode, cuts how often it has to be sharpened and leads to a better weld.
