What it is for
The gas lens gives a laminar gas flow, so you can extend the electrode further out of the nozzle. The standard collet body takes standard nozzles. No. 5 means 5/16 in, the manufacturer gives 8.0 mm. Replace the nozzle when it is cracked or chipped.

No. These torches use 17/18/26 consumables; there the no. 5 gas lens nozzle is 82.10.358.
How does it differ from the standard no. 5 nozzle?
The standard no. 5 nozzle (82.10.225, 8.0 mm) fits the standard body, this one the gas lens body.
