What it is for
The electrode works in the arc together with the nozzle and, along with it, wears fastest. Replace it when the electrode face shows clear burn-off or the cut quality drops despite a new nozzle. For extended nozzles the parts list has a separate long electrode 82.25.025.

What is the difference between the standard and the long electrode?
The long electrode (82.25.025) is a separate item from the same list, for the longer setup with an extended nozzle and the shield cup for extended nozzles. For normal cutting you choose the standard electrode.
Should I check the electrode together with the nozzle?
Yes, both parts work in the arc and wear fastest. When you replace one, inspect the other.
