This ArcDrive program sets up the machine to weld with AlMg5 (ER5356) class wires, 0.8 mm, with I1 shielding gas. You work in synergic or manual mode, with short arc or spray arc.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. AlMg5 is used on aluminium-magnesium alloys.

Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. ArcDrive has the widest machine list: it also covers TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. Give the machine model and serial number with your order so we can confirm compatibility with its software. Whether our service installs it or it comes as a manufacturer update is settled after the order.
How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position. The PulseDrive version of this program: PulseDrive 0.8 mm, gas I1 (79.P1.106).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the AlMg5 (ER5356) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
