What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. The program is meant for unalloyed and low-alloy steels, which covers most structural work. A 0.8 mm wire works well on thin sheet and in position welding.

How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position. The PulseDrive version of this program: PulseDrive 0.8 mm, gas M20 (79.P1.01297).
Can I use another ER70S-6 wire?
The curves are tuned to BÖHLER Q G3. For other brands of the same class the price list offers the Universal ARC line, here: ArcDrive G3/4 Si1 (ER70S-6) 0.8 mm, gas M20 (79.S1.012).
