What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. Use it on stainless steels, where a clean weld and little spatter count.

How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position. The PulseDrive version of this program: PulseDrive 1.0 mm, gas M12 (79.P1.055).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the CrNi 19 12 3 (ER316) class, which you can check on the spool label. If you weld with Thermanit GE 316L Si, choose the program tuned to it: ArcDrive Thermanit GE 316L Si 1.0 mm, gas M12 (79.S1.05599).
