This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for Al99,5 (ER1050) class wires, 1.6 mm diameter, with I1 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters. It belongs to the Universal ARC line: it works with wires of this class from any manufacturer.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. Al99.5 is a wire for commercially pure aluminium. Pure argon is the standard shield for aluminium, copper and nickel alloys.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. Give the machine model and serial number with your order so we can confirm compatibility with its software. Whether our service installs it or it comes as a manufacturer update is settled after the order.
PulseDrive or QuickPulse?
QuickPulse is a T.MAP process: the price list credits it with faster welding, higher deposition rate, a more concentrated arc and less heat. It covers fewer machines, not URANOS NX 2700. QuickPulse for this set-up: QuickPulse 1.6 mm, gas I1 (79.QP.117).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the Al99,5 (ER1050) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
