What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. Al99.5 is a wire for commercially pure aluminium. The 1.2 mm diameter suits medium and thicker plate, typical in fabrication work. Pure argon is the standard shield for aluminium, copper and nickel alloys.

Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.2 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.116).
