This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with CrNi 18 8 (ER307) class wires, 1.0 mm, with M21 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for stainless and acid-resistant steels. 18 8 Mn wires are used, among other things, for dissimilar joints and buffer layers.

Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control.
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the CrNi 18 8 (ER307) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
