What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. The program is for surfacing, that is applying layers with properties different from the base metal. A Stellite 6 type alloy is a cobalt-chromium alloy used on surfaces exposed to wear.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.2 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.127).
Can I use this program with a different gas?
No: the curves are made for I1. For M13 choose a separate program: PulseDrive 1.2 mm, gas M13 (79.P1.129).
