This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with HardFacing G6 FCW (Stellite G6) class wires, 1.6 mm, with M13 shielding gas. Pulsed arc and double pulse make thin sheet and positional welds easier.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. This is a surfacing program: you use it to apply a layer that protects a surface or restores its dimensions. A Stellite 6 type alloy is a cobalt-chromium alloy used on surfaces exposed to wear. M13 is argon with a small oxygen addition.
