This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for Thermanit 625 wire, 1.2 mm diameter, with M12 shielding gas. It provides pulsed arc and double pulse, which means less spatter and better pool control. It is part of the Böhler ARC line, programs the manufacturer prepared for its own wire.
What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for nickel alloys. The 1.2 mm diameter suits medium and thicker plate, typical in fabrication work. M12 is argon with a small CO2 addition, a typical gas for stainless steel.

FAQ
Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. When ordering, give the model and serial number of the machine the program is for. Installation, by our service or as a manufacturer update, is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control.
Can I use another ERNiCrMo-3 wire?
The curves are tuned to Thermanit 625. The Universal ARC line has programs for the NiCr22 Mo9 Nb (ERNiCrMo3) class, but not in this combination of family, diameter and gas. Ask us before ordering.
