This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for UTP RB CHROMELESS 600 wire, 1.6 mm diameter, with M21 shielding gas. It provides pulsed arc and double pulse, which means less spatter and better pool control. It is part of the Böhler ARC line, programs the manufacturer prepared for its own wire.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. This is a surfacing program: you use it to apply a layer that protects a surface or restores its dimensions. M21 is the most widely used mixture for structural steels.

Which machine can run this program?
Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. When ordering, give the model and serial number of the machine the program is for. Installation, by our service or as a manufacturer update, is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.6 mm, gas M21 (79.S1.29699).
Can I use this program with a different wire?
The curves are tuned to UTP RB CHROMELESS 600. Another wire may behave differently, so contact us and we will match a program to the wire you use.
