Böhler Welding MIG/MAG torch MT 150 G 3 m, gas cooled

MT 150 G is a gas-cooled Böhler Welding MIG/MAG torch with a 3 m cable assembly and Euro connector. Böhler supplies it as standard with the URANOS 2000 SMC MIG welder (set 55.05.019). It takes 0.8 to 1.0 mm wire and is rated 170 A at 60% duty cycle, with Ar/CO2 mixed gas as well as with CO2.

What it is for

Order it as a replacement for a worn torch or as a second torch for the URANOS 2000 SMC, for example one with a steel liner and one set up for aluminium. The built-in SF 2R-1T wire feeder of this machine comes with drive rolls for 0.8 to 1.0 mm wire; Böhler gives the same range for aluminium wire.

When ordering parts, note that MT 150 G uses an M6 tip holder and M6 contact tips 25 mm long, not the M8 parts of MT 350 G and the larger torches.

Which wire sizes does MT 150 G take?

The Böhler price list gives 0.8 to 1.0 mm. Matching M6 contact tips come in 0.8 and 1.0 mm, as ECu tips for steel and as tips for aluminium wire.

Do the M8 tips from MT 350 G fit?

No. MT 150 G has an M6 tip holder and M6 contact tips 25 mm long. The 30 mm M8 tips are for MT 350 G, MT 440 W, MT 540 W and PP Plus 401 D.

What is part number 56638?

It is the former part number of this torch. Böhler states that 81.05.56638 replaces it, so order under the new number.
