Choose it when you want to TIG weld on a URANOS 2000 SMC. The electrode range ends at 2.4 mm and the rating at 150 A DC (35% duty cycle), so this is a torch for lighter work. Only the shielding gas cools it, so plan pauses on long welds near the top of the current range.

The Böhler Welding 2026/27 price list lists it as an accessory for the URANOS 2000 SMC. For TERRA NX TLH and URANOS NX machines the price list specifies the ST 2200, ST 2500, ST 3000 and ST 4000 torches, and BT series torches for CORE machines.
Which consumables should I buy for the ST 1700 E?
The price list describes its consumables as standard type, meaning the 17/18/26 series parts. With electrodes up to 2.4 mm you will need 1.0 mm, 1.6 mm and 2.4 mm collets with matching collet bodies. The ST 1700 E is not named on the compatibility list of these parts, so quote part number 81.32.063 with your first order and we will confirm the selection.
4 m or 8 m?
The 4 m length is enough at a bench or close to the machine, and the torch is easier to coil up. If you weld further from the power source, for example on a large structure, choose the ST 1700 E 8 m.
