Fronius TPS CMT 4000 is an industrial MIG/MAG source with liquid cooling, prepared for the CMT process. It gives 400 A at a 30% duty cycle and 320 A in continuous work, and the supply is 400 V. The set has a VR 7000 feeder, an RCU 5000i panel and a robot communication module.
What this machine is for
This is a source from an automated station. CMT runs the arc with wire retraction, so it puts in little heat and gives little spatter. With this process you join thin sheet, aluminium, galvanised sheet and steel to aluminium joints, where ordinary MIG/MAG burns through the material or destroys the coating.
A current of 320 A in a 100% duty cycle sets the machine up for continuous work on a line, and 400 A at a 30% duty cycle is left for thicker sections. Liquid cooling holds the torch temperature through long cycles. The machine was unplugged from the robot and brought to us in working order, so you plug it back into a robot cell or rebuild it into a manual station after changing the torch.

What to watch out for
The torch in the set is a robot one, and for manual work you choose another torch. A 400 V supply needs an industrial connection. Check the cooling circuit after transport, because the fluid stood during the journey. The interconnection cable is about 10 m, and over that distance you move the feeder away from the source.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
