Ideal Expert ARC 201 PFC is an inverter welder for MMA welding with coated electrodes on direct current (DC). It also welds TIG DC with contact arc ignition. It handles rutile, basic, stainless steel and cast iron electrodes. It delivers up to 200 A from a 230 V socket, and at 5 kg it is easy to take from the workshop to jobs on site.

Features
PFC and generator operation
The PFC module raises the power factor and cuts the current drawn from the mains by 30%. The welder is designed to work with a power generator (+/- 15%).
HOT START, ARC FORCE and ANTI STICK
HOT START supplies a higher current at each ignition, so the electrode strikes more easily. ARC FORCE regulates the short-circuit current, helps droplets transfer from the electrode to the weld pool and keeps the arc from going out. ANTI STICK cuts the voltage when the electrode sticks to the material. The electrode is then easier to pull free, and no accidental arc forms.
Control and memory
You adjust the current steplessly, control is electronic, and you read the values on a digital display. You can save your welding settings.
Cooling and protection
The fan runs only when it is needed, so less dirt gets inside. The circuit has overload protection.
