Ideal Expert ARC 500 Cell MMA/TIG is a three-phase inverter welder for MMA welding with coated electrodes on direct current (DC) and for TIG DC with touch arc ignition. It handles rutile, basic, cellulosic, stainless steel and cast iron electrodes. It delivers up to 500 A and holds 400 A at 100% duty cycle. You power it from a 3 x 400 V supply.

Features
Control
You adjust the current steplessly in the 20 to 500 A range, control is electronic, and you see the settings on a digital display. One power source covers coated electrodes, including cellulosic ones, and TIG DC with touch arc ignition.
VRD
VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) lowers the open circuit voltage at the electrode to a safe value. It protects you from electric shock when you work in damp surroundings.
HOT START, ARC FORCE and ANTI STICK
You adjust HOT START and ARC FORCE manually. HOT START supplies a higher current at each ignition, so the electrode strikes more easily. ARC FORCE helps droplets transfer from the electrode to the weld pool and keeps the arc from going out. ANTI STICK cuts the voltage when the electrode sticks to the material, so it is easier to pull free.
Cooling and protection
A fan cools the machine. It also has overload protection.
