Ideal Expert TIG 222 AC/DC PFC Pulse Pro5 LCD is a portable 230 V IGBT inverter welder for TIG and TIG Pulse welding with alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current, and for MMA with coated electrodes. On AC you weld aluminium, its alloys and brass, on DC stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper and titanium. You set the parameters on an LCD touchscreen, and synergic control works in every process.

Features
Welding modes
You have TIG DC, TIG DC Pulse, TIG AC, TIG AC Pulse, TIG spot, MULTITACK, TIG MIX, TIG RPT and MMA modes, including MMA Pulse. Spot mode is for tacking thin material. Pulse influences the weld shape and arc focus and limits the heat on thin parts.
MULTITACK, DYNAMIC ARC and TIG MIX
MULTITACK is intermittent welding, known as cold welding, with a weld frequency of 0.5 to 6.0 Hz. DYNAMIC ARC adjusts the arc so that the weld keeps a constant width. TIG MIX combines direct and alternating current, which on aluminium gives full penetration and effective cleaning.
AC waveform and MultiWAVE
On the panel you choose the AC voltage waveform: square, triangle or sine. MultiWAVE sets a characteristic made up of two curves.
Ignition and torch trigger
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by touch (LIFT). The trigger works in 2T, 4T (latch for long welds) or RPT with two current levels. With HF you also have spot welding (SPOT).
Touchscreen and SMART TIG
On the screen you set gas, currents, up-slope and down-slope, pulse, AC balance and frequency, and HOT START and ARC FORCE. SMART TIG sets the output parameters for the initial data you choose. In the settings you change the screen brightness, the date and the fan mode (semi-passive SMART).
MMA and construction
HOT START makes the electrode strike more easily, ARC FORCE keeps the arc from going out, and ANTI STICK cuts the voltage when the electrode sticks. You connect the torch to the gas with a quick coupler, without tools. The machine has overload protection.
