EXPERT TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE W is an inverter TIG welder built on IGBT technology. It TIG welds all metals, including aluminium and stainless steel. It works in TIG and TIG PULSE modes with alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current, and in MMA with coated electrodes. The power source itself is small and light, so it suits the workshop and site work. The set includes a cooling unit and a tilting trolley.

Features
TIG AC and DC modes
You have TIG DC, TIG DC PULSE, TIG AC, TIG AC PULSE, MMA AC and MMA DC modes. TIG DC and TIG DC PULSE are for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper and titanium. TIG AC and TIG AC PULSE weld aluminium and its alloys, and brass. You select the AC voltage waveform on the panel: square or sine.
TIG PULSE
With the pulse parameters you shape the weld and focus the arc. Pulse reduces the heat that goes into the material, so it helps with thin sheet.
HF and LIFT ignition, 2-stroke and 4-stroke
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by touch (LIFT). LIFT is used where electromagnetic interference could affect the surroundings. With both ignition types, the torch button works in 2-stroke or 4-stroke mode (button latch for long welds).
TIG 2-LEVEL and TIG SPOT
In 2-LEVEL mode, each press of the torch button switches between a higher and a lower current level. TIG SPOT mode is for tacking thin materials.
Digital panel
On the displays you set pre-gas and post-gas flow, start current, current up-slope time, welding current, base current, current down-slope time, end current, pulse width and frequency, AC balance and frequency, and HOT START and ARC FORCE values. You save your own programmes in 9 memory slots.
MMA functions
ARC FORCE (manual short-circuit current adjustment) helps droplets transfer from the electrode to the weld pool and stops the arc going out when a droplet touches the pool. HOT START (manual adjustment) supplies a higher current at each strike, so the electrode ignites more easily. ANTI STICK cuts the welding voltage when the electrode sticks to the material. It is then easier to pull free and no accidental arc forms.
Cooling and quick coupling
The cooling unit raises output and protects the torch from overheating. The quick gas coupling lets you connect and disconnect the torch without tools. Overload protection protects the machine.
