Ideal Expert TIG 220 AC/DC Pulse W LCD is a 230 V IGBT inverter welder for TIG and TIG Pulse welding with alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current, and for MMA with coated electrodes. On AC you weld aluminium, its alloys and brass, on DC stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper and titanium. The set includes a cooling unit, a tilting trolley and a TIG 18 torch with remote control. The current range is 5 to 220 A.

Features
Welding modes
You have TIG DC, TIG DC Pulse, TIG AC, TIG AC Pulse, TIG spot, MULTITACK, TIG MIX, TIG 2-Level and MMA modes, including MMA Pulse. Spot mode is for tacking thin material. In 2-Level you switch between a higher and a lower current with the torch trigger.
MULTITACK and TIG MIX
MULTITACK is intermittent welding, known as cold welding, with a weld frequency of 0.5 to 6.0 Hz. TIG MIX combines direct and alternating current, which on aluminium gives full penetration and effective cleaning.
AC waveform and MultiWAVE
On the panel you choose the AC voltage waveform: square, triangle or sine. MultiWAVE sets a characteristic made up of two curves.
Ignition, pulse and memory
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by touch (LIFT), and the trigger works in 2T or 4T. Pulse influences the weld shape and arc focus and limits the heat on thin material. On the LCD you set gas, currents, up-slope, down-slope, pulse, AC balance and frequency, and you save 10 programs in memory.
MMA
You adjust ARC FORCE and HOT START manually. HOT START makes the electrode strike more easily, ARC FORCE keeps the arc from going out, and ANTI STICK cuts the voltage when the electrode sticks to the material.
Cooling unit and construction
The cooling unit raises output and protects the torch from overheating. You connect the torch to the gas with a quick coupler, without tools. The machine has overload protection.
