Tecno TIG 215 AC/DC Pulse is a portable Ideal IGBT inverter welder for a 230 V supply. It welds TIG and pulse TIG on alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current, and with coated electrodes (MMA) on direct current. On AC you weld aluminium, its alloys and brass, and on DC stainless, carbon and low-alloy steel, copper and titanium. In the TIG set you get a TIG 26 torch with a length of 4 m and MMA and earth cables of 3 m each.

Features
Five welding modes
You can choose TIG DC, TIG DC Pulse, TIG AC, TIG AC Pulse and MMA. TIG DC is for stainless, carbon and low-alloy steel, copper and titanium. TIG AC is intended for aluminium, its alloys and brass.
TIG pulse
With the pulse parameters you shape the weld and focus the arc. Pulse reduces the heat going into the material, so it helps with thin parts. You set the frequency in the range 0.5 to 200 Hz and the pulse width from 5 to 95%.
HF or Lift ignition
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by contact (Lift). You use Lift where electromagnetic interference could affect the surroundings. In both modes the torch trigger works in 2T, or in 4T with latch for long welds.
Digital control panel
On the display you set gas pre-flow and post-flow, start current, rise, welding current, base current, fall and end current. You also adjust pulse width and frequency and the AC balance.
MMA functions
ARC FORCE (manual adjustment) helps droplet transfer from the electrode to the weld pool and keeps the arc from going out. HOT START supplies a higher current at arc strike, and ANTI STICK cuts the voltage when the electrode sticks to the material.
Design
A fan cools the inside, and overload protection guards the machine. You connect the torch to the gas through a quick coupling, without tools.
