What this machine is for
This is a TIG power source for both types of current. With alternating current you weld aluminium and its alloys, because only such current breaks up the layer of oxides. With direct current you work on stainless steel, structural steel, copper and titanium.
A cycle of 280 A at 100% is welding with no time limit, and you hold the full 350 A for six minutes in ten. Liquid cooling holds the temperature of the torch, so at such currents it is not the handle that sets the pace of work.
Pulse orders the pool and limits the amount of heat in the material, which on thin aluminium sheet decides that there is no distortion. The extended panel covers the whole welding path, from gas flow and current rise to crater filling.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V three phase, that is a power circuit at the station. You check the coolant level, the flow and the tightness of the quick couplings before the start, and after a stop in an unheated hall you check whether the fluid has not frozen.

The description does not give the length of the cables or the weight of the power source, ask before collection. For work you add a cylinder with argon, a regulator, tungsten electrodes and a set of nozzles.
