The Migatronic BDH 550 is an inverter MIG/MAG power source with a welding current of 550 A at a 40% duty cycle and 400 A at a 100% duty cycle. Supply 400 V, liquid cooling, pulse and programs for steel, aluminium and CrNi stainless steel. This unit has two wire feeders.
What this machine is for
The 400 A at a 100% duty cycle holds long runs on thick steel with no breaks for cooling, and the 550 A gives a reserve for passes with deep fusion. This is kit for heavy structures, thick plate and sections, that is for steel structure works and repair plants.
The version with two wire feeders is less common. You keep two different wires in them and change material without a changeover, so on mixed production you cut the downtime. The programs for steel, aluminium and CrNi handle that change on the parameter side, and pulse limits spatter.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V, three phase. Liquid cooling: check the fluid level and the tightness of the quick couplings before you start. The torch in the set is rated 500 A and the power source gives 550 A, so at the top settings you work for shorter spells.
The interconnection cable is about 2 m, so the feeders stand next to the power source and the reach is set by the 4 m torch. The record gives no weight, and a power source with two feeders takes up a lot of room, so arrange transport before collection.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
