The Migatronic BDH 550 is an inverter MIG/MAG power source for heavy production, supplied from a 400 V mains and liquid cooled. It gives 550 A at a 40% duty cycle and 400 A at 100%, so you run continuous work up to 400 A. The machine has pulse and handles two wire feeders.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for long welds on thick sections: steel structures, tanks and frames. A current of 400 A at a 100% cycle means work without breaks, and the reserve up to 550 A you take for thick fillet welds. The programs cover steel, aluminium and CrNi stainless steel.
Two feeders are the answer for a workshop that welds with different wires in turn: instead of changing over one, you switch to the other with its spool already fitted. Pulse orders the metal transfer and cuts spatter.

What to watch out for
The torch from the set is made for 500 A and the source gives up to 550 A, so at the highest settings pick a torch to match that current. The interconnection cable is about 2 m long, so for work further from the source count on a longer package. A 400 V supply needs a power socket, and liquid cooling needs its own circuit, in which you check the fluid level and the flow through the hoses. The weight is not given, so arrange transport before collection.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
