The Migatronic DynaMig 505, marked KDO 505, is a transformer MIG/MAG power source for heavy work. You set the current from 40 to 505 A at a voltage from 16 V to 39 V, and the duty cycle is 505 A at 35% and 385 A at 100%. The supply is 400 V with a 35 A fuse, and the torch is liquid cooled.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for thick sections, steel structures and long beads, where the current reserve and work with no stops count. At 385 A the machine works with no time limit, so you lay multi run welds one after another. You adjust the current in steps and the wire feed in a stepless way.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V with a 35 A fuse. A 35% duty cycle at 505 A gives three and a half minutes of welding in a ten minute window, and work with no limit starts at 385 A. The torch is liquid cooled, so a cooler with fluid has to stand at the station, and you check the flow before the start. Gas extraction works only when it is connected to an extraction line. Lead the 10 m interconnection cable with no sharp bends.
