Optrel SphereX Quattro: industrial welding helmet, 5-13 DIN (1006.580)
Built for the heaviest work, the Optrel SphereX Quattro is a rugged workhorse for heavy industry, shipyards and structural steel welding. What sets it apart is its perfect optical class 1/1/1/1, which gives you a completely stable and uniform image even when welding in extreme out-of-position situations. With the broadest shade range in the series, 5-13 DIN, and TrueColor technology, it is the right tool for high-current welding (MIG/MAG, MMA, flux-cored wire). This is uncompromising reliability you can count on.

Technology in detail
Perfect optical class 1/1/1/1, angular stability
The Quattro is the only model in the SphereX series with the highest possible optical class, 1/1/1/1. The last "1" stands for the best class of angle dependence. In practice, the shade stays completely stable and uniform whatever angle you look at the arc from. This is critical when welding out of position (e.g. overhead, vertical, in confined spaces), where you cannot keep an ideal line of sight. The Quattro gives you constant, reliable protection in typical workshop conditions.
Broad protection range 5-13 DIN
The Quattro was designed for the toughest industrial conditions. It offers the broadest protection range, in both automatic ShadeTronic® mode and manual mode, across the full span from 5 to 13 DIN. This is essential for safe and comfortable work in high-current applications such as welding heavy steel structures, flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) or high-deposition MIG/MAG welding.
ShadeTronic® technology (autopilot 5-13)
Forget setting the shade by hand. The SphereX Quattro has an "autopilot" that does it for you. The ShadeTronic® system uses data from five advanced sensors to analyse the intensity of the welding arc in real time. Within a fraction of a second it smoothly adjusts the protection level across the span from 5 to 13 DIN. Whether you change the current or your welding technique, the helmet reacts immediately, giving you the right visibility and full protection.
FadeTronic® technology, easy on the eyes
You feel the real comfort once you stop welding. Instead of a sudden, tiring flash of brightness, FadeTronic® technology ("twilight mode") makes the filter lighten smoothly and gradually. This gives your eyes time to adapt naturally, which greatly reduces fatigue and removes the unpleasant afterglow effect, especially after high-current welding. It is a function that protects your eyesight and lets you work longer without headaches.
Ergonomic Optrel IsoFit® X headgear
A welding helmet is only as good as the system that carries it. Optrel has fitted the SphereX series with its renowned IsoFit® X headgear. It is a piece of ergonomic engineering based on three-dimensional adjustment. You can fit it precisely to any head shape and size, and it spreads the 640g weight evenly and eliminates pressure points. The helmet "grips" your head and stays in place even in extreme positions. This is comfort that lets you work efficiently all day.
