Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The outstanding strength of the apron is based on top-quality Grade A cowhide split leather (A-Grade) with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. It forms a very good protective barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and mechanical damage. The integrity of the construction is ensured by double-stitched seams sewn with the strongest 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread on the market. These threads do not melt or burn, which keeps the garment from coming apart at critical moments and ensures a long service life even in extreme conditions. The 44-7828 apron is designed as part of the Weldas modular protection system and attaches to boleros (including 44-7800), forming a full-size, certified welding jacket.
Safety and Certification
When combined with a compatible Weldas bolero, the apron forms protective clothing certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous work that generates a large amount of spatter and intense heat (e.g. MMA welding, FCAW, gouging). By choosing this modular system, you invest in safety certified and verified by independent bodies (TÜV) and matched to the heaviest welding tasks.
