Materials and construction
The exceptional resistance of the 38-4342 apron is based on an innovative flame-retardant (FR) cotton fabric with an impressive weight of 520 g/m². This heavy, densely woven material forms a solid barrier that protects against intense radiant heat and heavy spatter of molten metal. The seams, sewn with 3-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, keep the construction intact in extreme conditions. Unlike standard threads, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn at high temperatures, so the seams do not split and the apron does not break down at critical moments. Protection stays continuous.
Safety and certification
The Arc Knight® apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous welding processes. Class 2 confirms that the product has been tested and provides effective protection in conditions with a significant amount of spatter and high radiant heat.
