Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
At the heart of the Arc Knight® apron is an innovative heavy cotton fabric weighing 520 g/m² with advanced flame-retardant (FR) treatment. Thanks to its high weight and dense weave, the material gives a level of protection against hot spatter and radiant heat that comes close to fully leather clothing in tests. Every seam in the apron is made with 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread, which resists burning through and does not melt, so the construction stays intact even in extreme conditions. Dielectric snaps that do not conduct electricity add to the welder's electrical safety. An extra barrier is the double placket under the main fastening, which keeps sparks and spatter out.
Safety and Certification
The Arc Knight® 38-4375 welding apron is certified to EN ISO 11611 and has achieved the highest Class 2. This means it has been tested and approved for use in the most demanding and hazardous welding processes, which produce large amounts of molten metal spatter and intense radiant heat. Choosing a product certified to Class 2 is an investment in the highest level of personal safety, confirmed by independent laboratories.
