Technical Details and Certification

Materials and Construction

The effectiveness of the Arc Knight® apron comes from an advanced material: a specially designed flame-retardant cotton with a weight of 520 g/m². This densely woven FR fabric is a strong barrier against hot spatter and intense radiant heat and offers a level of safety that comes close to split cowhide in tests. The construction is held together with very strong 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread. This thread does not melt or burn at extreme temperatures, which keeps the seams from tearing and the apron from breaking down even in the toughest working conditions.

Safety and Certification

The 38-4336 apron, part of the Arc Knight® series, is designed and made to the strict requirements of EN ISO 11611 for Class 2 (A1+A2). Class 2 is the highest level of protection for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous processes that produce large amounts of spatter and high levels of radiant heat. When you choose this product, you invest in certified safety backed by the Weldas reputation and strict quality testing.
