Weldas Arc Knight® 38-4342 W welding apron in 520 g/m² flame-retardant cotton

The Arc Knight® line is a major step forward in protective clothing and answers the needs of professionals who want maximum protection without giving up comfort. Designed for the heaviest welding work, it combines durability close to that of leather clothing with the low weight and breathability of advanced technical fabrics. Arc Knight® is an engineered solution for welders who need Class 2 protection but value freedom of movement and thermal comfort during long hours of work.

Key features

Made of innovative, hard-wearing flame-retardant (FR) cotton with a weight of 520 g/m².

Protection against spatter and heat comparable to leather clothing.

All seams sewn with 3-ply twisted, burn-through resistant KEVLAR® thread.

Certified to the highest Class 2 according to EN ISO 11611.

Much lighter and more comfortable than traditional leather aprons.

Large dimensions (107 cm x 80 cm) for full protection of the torso and legs.

Technical Details and Certification

Materials and Construction

The protection of the Arc Knight® apron is built on a specially designed heavy cotton fabric weighing no less than 520 g/m². Thanks to its mass and dense weave, this material forms a protective barrier that, in laboratory tests, shows resistance to spatter and radiant heat close to that of split leather. Seams sewn entirely with extremely strong 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread keep the construction intact in extreme conditions. Aramid threads do not melt or burn, so the seams do not come apart even in direct contact with hot sparks and the protection stays continuous.

Safety and Certification

The 38-4342 W apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous welding processes that produce large amounts of molten metal spatter and intense radiant heat. Choosing a product with Class 2 certification is a deliberate investment in safety confirmed by the independent certification body TÜV.
