Materials and Construction
The effectiveness of the Arc Knight® apron comes from its well-designed hybrid construction. The central and lower section, which takes most of the hot spatter, is made of tough split cowhide. The sides are made of very thick flame-retardant cotton weighing 520 g/m², which protects you while staying more flexible and thermally comfortable. The whole apron is sewn with extremely strong 3-ply KEVLAR® thread, so the seams will not burn through or tear even in extreme working conditions.
Safety and Certification
The 38-4442 apron is certified to EN ISO 11611 Class 2 (A1+A2). This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing: the product has been tested and approved for use in the most hazardous welding situations, where there is a lot of spatter and high radiant heat. Choosing a Class 2 product means investing in safety that has been tested and confirmed by independent laboratories.
