Materials and Construction
The key to the performance of the Arc Knight® apron is its well-thought-out hybrid design. The body is made of very thick, hard-wearing flame-retardant cotton weighing no less than 520 g/m², which protects against radiant heat and flame and is more comfortable to wear than all-leather clothing. Strategically placed reinforcements of high-quality black cowhide split leather protect the areas most exposed to hot spatter. Seams sewn entirely with genuine KEVLAR® thread, resistant to heat and tearing, keep the whole construction intact even in extreme conditions.
Safety and Certification
The 38-4442 W apron meets the strict requirements of EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 2 (A1+A2). This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, which means the product has been tested and certified for use in the most hazardous welding situations. Class 2 confirms protection against much more spatter and a higher level of radiant heat than standard Class 1 clothing. When you choose Arc Knight®, you invest in proven, certified safety.
