Materials and construction
The 38-4436 apron owes its effectiveness to a well thought-out hybrid construction. The base is very tough flame-retardant cotton weighing as much as 520 gr/m², which protects you while staying more comfortable than all-leather clothing. The key zones most exposed to spatter and heat, the abdomen and chest, are reinforced with panels of hard-wearing split cowhide. This design gives maximum protection where it is needed most. Seams sewn 100% with KEVLAR® thread, which does not melt or burn at high temperature, keep the whole construction intact even in extreme conditions.
Safety and certification
The Arc Knight® 38-4436 apron meets the strict requirements of EN ISO 11611 in the highest Class 2 (A1+A2). Class 2 is intended for protection in the most hazardous welding situations, which produce much more spatter and higher radiant heat.
