Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The 44-2142 W apron is built on carefully selected split cowhide leather with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This material forms a solid barrier against hot metal spatter, radiant heat and mechanical wear. All seams are sewn with exceptionally strong 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread, which resists burn-through and tearing and keeps the apron intact even in the toughest conditions. Key points, such as the strap attachments, are additionally reinforced with metal rivets, which greatly increases durability where the product is under the most load.
Safety and Certification
The Golden Brown™ apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. Class 2 is the highest level of protection provided for welding clothing, intended for manual welding techniques that produce large amounts of spatter and droplets, such as MMA, FCAW or MIG/MAG in heavy conditions. Certification by the recognised body TÜV confirms that the product meets strict European safety requirements, which gives the welder certainty and confidence.
