Technical Details and Certification

Materials and Construction

The 44-2136 apron is made of carefully selected split cowhide with high resistance to hot metal spatter, radiant heat and mechanical damage. The material, with a guaranteed thickness of at least 1 mm, forms a solid and durable protective barrier. The seams are a key part of the construction, sewn with very strong 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread. This thread does not melt or burn at high temperatures, which keeps the apron intact even in the most demanding conditions. To maximise the service life of the apron, all strap attachment points are additionally reinforced with metal rivets.

Safety and Certification

Welder safety is the priority, which is why the Golden Brown™ 44-2136 apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1+A2. Class 2 is the higher protection level, intended for general and heavy welding work such as MMA, MIG/MAG and FCAW, which produce considerable spatter and intense heat. Certification by the recognised notified body TÜV and the CE marking guarantee that the product meets strict European safety standards and has undergone independent testing.
