Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The 44-2836 apron is built from carefully selected cowhide split leather with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. Although this material is more economical than grade A leather, it gives very good protection against hot metal spatter and radiant heat. The seams are the key design element that decides how long the apron lasts. This model uses an extremely strong, 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread that does not melt at high temperatures, so the seams do not open up in the most critical areas. The modular design lets you attach the apron quickly and easily to dedicated Weldas jackets, creating an integrated one-piece protective suit that significantly raises the level of safety.
Safety and Certification
The 44-2836 apron is designed to form, together with a compatible Weldas jacket (for example from the Golden Brown™ or Lava Brown™ series), a protective system that meets the requirements of EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 2. Class 2 is intended for heavy welding work such as MMA or MIG/MAG at high currents, where there is a lot of spatter and intense radiant heat. When you choose Weldas products, you invest in safety verified by the recognised certification body TÜV. Full documentation and declarations of conformity are available at weldas-ce.com, which shows the brand's transparency and high standards.
